DOMESTIC ANIMALS NEEDING HOMES

Although Hessilhead is a wildlife rescue charity, we occasionally become involved in rescuing abandoned domestic animals. These animals will be listed on this page when ready for rehoming. Please do not contact Hessilhead if you are looking to find a home for a domestic animal/pet, because, as stated above, Hessilhead is a wildlife rescue charity, and there are other specific charities to support domestic animal welfare.

Cockatiel

We are caring for a cockatiel that was found in Dalry public park on 17 August 2012. If this could be your cockatiel, please contact us.

Domestic rabbits looking for homes

Hessilhead has been involved in rescuing several abandoned domestic rabbits, some of which have come into the rescue pregnant. It would be nice if the rabbits could be homed in pairs. As these rabbits were dumped, we do not have any details or histories for them. Obviously the new owners will be fully responsible for their care and any associated costs from the time of rehoming. We are keen for these rabbits to be rehomed as soon as possible, to free up space and time for wildlife casualties. Here are a few photos of the rabbits.

If you can offer a home to any of the above, please contact us.
